Purcutaneus Radiofrequency Ablation In Liver Tumor
نویسندگان
چکیده
Tumor ablation is a minimally invasive approach commonly used in the treatment of liver tumors. Over last two decades, percutaneous radiofrequency (RFA) has been widely for primary tumors and small metastases, especially liver. Effective RFA can be accomplished by complete tumor accompanied margin resection at least 0.5 cm. One methods ablation. The overall disease-free survival rate was found to more effective than that observed with surgical resection. success highly dependent on precision targeting, which influenced main factors, such as electrode tip placement angulation placement. In this literature review, we will discuss about

Parameter Estimation for Personalization of Liver Tumor Radiofrequency Ablation
Mathematical modeling has the potential to assist radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of tumors as it enables prediction of the extent of ablation. However, the accuracy of the simulation is challenged by the material properties since they are patient-specific, temperature and space dependent. In this paper, we present a framework for patientspecific radiofrequency ablation modeling of multiple lesio...
متن کاملRadiofrequency Ablation for Liver Cancer.
Interventional ablative technologies aided by imaging techniques such as ultrasonography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging have been crucial in managing patients with primary liver cancer and liver metastases over the past 20 years. Several ablative technologies have been used to treat liver cancer; however, radiofrequency ablation (RFA) has emerged as the most common ablativ...
متن کامل[Radiofrequency ablation of liver metastases].
The liver is the second only to lymph nodes as the most common site of metastatic disease irrespective of the primary tumor. Up to 50% of all patients with malignant diseases will develop liver metastases with a significant morbidity and mortality. Although the surgical resection leads to an improvement of the survival time, only approximately 20% of the patients are eligible for surgical inter...
متن کاملCorrection to: Efficacy of Radiofrequency Ablation in Patients with Metastatic Liver Tumors from Breast Carcinoma
In the article published in Volume 27, issue 158, 2017, the Results section in English Abstract have been published incorrectly. The correct Results is given below: Results: The most frequent sizes of mass were 2-4 cm (n=33, 54%) and 4-5 cm (n=23, 38%). Among the patients, 35 (67.3%) had one tumor before, in 11.5% renew tumor happened, and 65.4% had one tumor after treatment. Liver tum...
متن کاملRadiofrequency ablation of the liver: current status.
H epatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and metastases from colorectal carci noma are the two most common malignant tumors to affect the liver. When these tumors are left untreated, the prognosis for both is dismal, with essentially 100% mortality at 5 years. Conventional therapies such as systemic chemotherapy or radiation have proven ineffec tive. Surgical resection of the tumors is consid ered th...
